Through Amy’s Place of Hope, Build Promise provides a Community Access Center and 96-bed men’s emergency shelter that brings critical services together in one accessible location. These services include health care, employment support, housing pathways, and partner agencies.
Our Heart Check funding will support:
- Continued operation of the men’s shelter at Amy’s Place of Hope, which opened in November 2025
- Essential personal care items and haircuts that promote dignity, health and acceptance
- Operational costs and supportive services
- Bus passes to ensure men can access critical appointments and life-changing services
From the team at Build Promise:
“Jesse lives with an intellectual disability but that has never kept him from being a bright light. He is currently working with a case manager to secure stable housing and pursue vocational training in culinary arts. Whether he’s clearing tables or washing dishes, he does it all with enthusiasm. He’s also taken advantage of the medical guidance available here to move toward greater health and healing. It is a gift to walk alongside him on the journey.”
