McKinley & Bayview Outreach

We have been at our Hamburg location for more than 65 years, and we love participating in the life of this community! Over that time we've built strong relationships through the school district, local festivals, and local businesses. If you attend McKinley or Bayview Chapel or if you live in Hamburg, we invite you to participate year-round in the many opportunities we have to bless Hamburg. Here's just some of what we do:

Festivals & events we participate in:

  • Hamburg Music Festival: Held in the early summer (May or June), we host a stage and some of our musicians play. We also like to see a lot of people from Revive come and hang out and hand out water bottles to visitors. Our venue is outdoors, so visiting us is free! (Attendance at other festival venues requires a paid  wristband.) The festival is on a Saturday afternoon and draws thousands to the village.
  • Oktoberfest: This event takes place at Memorial Park in the village of Hamburg every September. We host a family-friendly tent to provide entertainment for kids and free water for attendees
  • Sparks of Hope: We participate in their community awareness event each September called Rejoice in Recovery. We host a table, sharing information on support groups we offer, and provide refreshments and activities for families in attendance.
  • Thanksgiving Food Drive: We partner with Hamburg High School to provide sides and fixings for local families in need so they can celebrate and give thanks!
  • Hamburgh Holidays Parade: Help us build a float for this fun Christmas parade and then join us to walk in it and hand out candy!

Events we host:

  • Hamburg Hoops Basketball Camp: Open to boys and girls in elementary and middle school, this fun week-long day camp each July is for any kid who wants to have a good time learning some basketball skills and having fun with other kids. No technical prowess required! Younger campers come just for the morning and older kids stay from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Lunch is included for the older campers. Registration opens every spring!
  • Fall Fest: Who doesn't love a good trunk-or-treat, pumpkin decorating, hay rides, and more?! We love to host a safe and fun event for everyone in the community each October. More details about location, date and time will be available closer to the event.
  • The Giving Tree: For many years, our congregants have blessed local families who struggle to afford Christmas with gift cards to help purchase presents, Christmas dinners, and more. We collect these around Thanksgiving time.

Year-round opportunities:

  • Emergency Food Pantry: We have seen an increased demand for our food pantry in the last year. Families facing an unexpected emergency are able to access our pantry once every three months. It is fully supplied by our congregants. We will accept donations of nonperishable, non-expired food all year round at our Central Office inside Door 3 at our McKinley Campus.
