Springville Outreach

We love being a part of Springville and reaching such a wide, surrounding area with love and support! Being centrally located in The Joylan Theatre in the historic downtown business district is such a blessing because it means we can be right in the middle of the action and participate in community events and offerings. We also have a dynamic congregation who has been ready to answer the call for volunteers and support when local organizations are in need. Here are some of the places you'll find us. Thank about how you might jump in!

  • Local little league games: When they called up and said they needed folks to run concession stands, we were right there! We also sponsor some local sports leagues.
  • All Pro Dad Breakfasts: We run the local chapter of this national organization which partners with schools and allows dads (or another caregiver) to have breakfast with their kids at school, do an activity together, and take in a lesson on a character trait. We've had a great response to these events.
  • Springville Art Crawl: We open our doors during this event to provide fun activities for families attending this annual festival.
  • Fall Fest: On a Saturday in October, we bring a Fall Fest to the park for the whole community! We've had wagon rides, treats, activities, crafts, pumpkin decorating and more. More details on the day, time and location will come out closer to the event!
  • Very Merry Main Street: During the Christmas season, we participate in this event by the Chamber of Commerce to draw people to shops and businesses on Small Business Saturday. Caroling up and down Main Street is such a great way to meet and connect with new people!
  • Free movies in The Joylan Theatre: Doing church in a movie theater has its perks! We offer family fun mornings a few times a year for free! We show a movie and have snacks, crafts, activities, and more.
  • School staff appreciation: Every April and May, as the school year is winding down, we ask our congregation to take a minute and write a note of thanks to the teachers and administrators who work hard for our kids.
  • The Trading Post: This outreach center is part of Revive Wesleyan and meets thousands of needs every year for families facing financial or other obstacles in the Southtowns and Southern Tier. They have a thrift shop, offer a mobile food truck and food pantry, and more. We are so proud to partner with them to bless the community.
  • Love, Inc.: This is another partnership we have with a local organization that seeks to end the cycle of poverty.
